2008 24′ Shearwater Bay Boat

2008 24′ Shearwater Bay Boat equipped with a 250 hp Yamaha outboard motor. Open deck design with a canvas t-top over the console for shade and plenty of room to move around. This vessel has a wide range of possibilities. Everything from Patch Reefs, channel fishing for Tarpon or chumming the backcountry for sharks. Also in the winter time the basins light up! Working jigs while drifting through in 5-8 feet of water is a great way for a lot of action on sea trout, ladyfish and jacks, a great option for someone who loves to work the rod. In the winter the patch reefs load up with snapper and grouper. Only a couple miles from shore, these patches can fill up a whole day with a bent rod! Now for tarpon… Tarpon are a prehistoric like fish that are known for long fights and outstanding jumps. We fish for them in the channels of the backcountry, ocean side channels, on the flats and in Key West Harbor. These fish range from 10-150+ pounds and average 50-100 pounds. This is a catch and release species that is prized among all circles and will give you the best fight of your life. The tarpon bite starts up in March and April and continues on for most of the Summer. The shark bite can go hand in hand with tarpon. We can do both or just concentrate on one specifically. For sharks we like to chum up the channels in the backcountry with fish carcasses and drift back chunks of fish. This fishing is done in 2-20 feet of water and a lot of the time you can see all of the sharks that are coming up. Common species are Bull Sharks, Black Tip Sharks, and Lemon Sharks. Averaging anywhere from 3-8 feet and a very impressive fight in shallow water. The Shearwater is also equipped with a remote control trolling motor for chasing these fish in shallow water and for searching the flats for tarpon. We can take up to 4 people for 4, 6, 8 hour trips.

Whether its Tarpon, Sharks, Patch Reef the Shearwater is your boat.
